braves0ul:   Hi; I'm currently applying to FIDM and I was wondering how the big move to l.a. went for you? I'm a senior in highschool&abosolutly know no one in l.a and would like some roomates with out having to go through the school housing. Any advise?

The move to LA wasn’t too bad, considering I live in california and have been to LA many times before the actual move. I didn’t know many people in LA except for two, but I went through school housing to find some friends for the first quarter I was there and then moved into a place with the friends I made for next quarter.

One quarter in student housing isn’t bad, it’s a good way to meet people.

WHAT. A. TRIP.

Winter quarter was such a challenge for me, moving to Los Angeles, making new friends and on top of that keeping up with school work. FIDM has challenged me in so many ways and I’m so grateful that I have this opportunity to afford this school. Spring quarter, I’m ready for you.

P.S. Sorry for being lame and not posting as much. Feel free to shoot me your questions.

xoxo,

Anonymous:   did you have good grades in highschool? I really really have my heart on fidm, but im scared my grades wont be good enough...

I had a 3.0 in high school. Not the best grades but the main requirement is to graduate high school. FIDM is more focused on your entrance project and your interview.

Thank you America and FIDM for giving me the day off so I can now do all of my assignments tomorrow instead of tonight.

xoxo,
